The Creation of New World Class Entertainment at Sea
Jean Ann Ryan supervised the transformation from a cinema on board the SS France into the first proper proscenium theatre on the high seas that would become the SS Norway for Norwegian Cruise Lines. This historic undertaking included the debut of full-scale Broadway Musicals in repertoire with Las Vegas Revues in the cruise industry. "SeaLegs" made its iconic debut along with the Broadway musical Hello, Dolly! for the first inaugural cruise.

Jean Ann Ryan Productions continued to develop and produce the entertainment program for Norwegian Cruise Lines for the next 30 years while continuing to break new ground in entertainment with diverse and original productions for numerous cruise lines and land based theaters.
Jean Ann Ryan Productions was asked to introduce the entertainment program for the new Euroluxe Class for the new Costa Classica, which introduced the debut of the new upscale cruise experience for Costa Cruises.
In 1996, at the request of John Chandris, Jean Ann Ryan Productions debuted the first ever 'Cirque-style' show with video projection at sea on board the Celebrity Galaxy.
